TOP PLANT TIPS

The nights are getting longer and colder, mamma has almost got her hot water bottle and furry slippers out that dusty under stair cupboard. Those summer garden plants have done their thang and are ready for you to start harvesting the seeds before it gets too wet and cold.

Now is the time to save any seed pods from chilli peppers in your garden. In fact, seed pods of any form for that matter. Always got my beady eye on the look out for seeds and dead flower heads to pop into my pocket. (don't worry Kew, I kept my hands to myself. Ahem)

Grab yourself some small seed envelopes and make sure you label them though, or else you'll be working on a pick-a-mix basis, which ain't an easy way to work ! Might end up with a tree in place of smiling sunflower.
