HARPING ABOUT HACKNEY

There really is something about London in the Springtime. Even through the patches of rain (and let’s face it, there’s plenty of them), those life-bringing sunny spells have the ability to stir something within us.

We might be biased, but Hackney is particularly lovely this time of year, and if you’re feeling the urge to get out and take it all in you’re in good company. Here are some of our favourite ways to while away a sunny day around our gaff:

PARK LIFE

London Fields, Hackney Marshes, Victoria Park, Haggerston Park - we're pretty spoiled for nice spots in these ends. Pop on your light jacket, pack a picnic and stretch your legs!

If somehow you've had your fill of those, you need only go slightly further afield for Clissold Park, Walthamstow's wetlands and Eltham Forest.

FILL YOUR BOOTS

What could be better than street food in the sunshine? Bohemia Place Market is back by Hackney Central station. It runs on select weekends only so be sure to check before heading that way!

BROADWAY MARKET

Grab a coffee from Climpson and Sons and take in the seasonal produce and artisan goods. We advise going hungry as you'll invariably want to stop off at least one of the cafes lining this lovely little street.

COLUMBIA ROAD

Well known for its Sunday flower market, but really worth a visit any day of the week for it’s amazing boutique shops, cafes and restaurants and all around good vibes (We hear there’s an amazing florists at the end of it too)

DAY DRINKING

Beer gardens across East London rejoice, day drinking is back. Catch us at The Scolt Head)

Spring showers caught you out? No matter, you might still catch a cosy fire inside too (The Chesham Arms, we're looking at you).

Spring got you feeling green and plant loving? The Spread Eagle's fully vegan menu will see you right!
