The hellebore is one of our earliest flowerers, often beating the snow drop. Colours range from the deepest purples – almost black, through to pinks, whites and lime greens getting you through the winter blues. This cheeky little number is a total tease, tip its head back to cop an eyeful!

BOLD BOUQUETS AND ROCKING BEDS

Jurassic style foliage all year round makes it a great mate for ferns and other forest floor fillers. Grow for a winter boost when you step into the cold or snip off and drop in a vase – looks wicked as a single stem.
