MOMENTS IN POT CULTURE: THE HYDRANGEA

In the noughties Alexander McQueen’s show, ‘Sarabande’ saw real hydrangeas pinned all over a lovely frock. The show was based on a scene from Kubrick’s flick ‘Barry Lyndon’, as the model strutted down that runway the flowers tumbled into the front row one by one.

In the video for  ‘Saturnz Barz’(2017), Gorillaz band members Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2-D pull up to a ‘spirit’ house with a lovely white Jamie Hewlett hydrangea nodding in the breeze.

French artist and music producer Hortense Cmll is currently going by the name ‘Hydrangea’ to release her nature inspired techno. Rave on.
