With every purchase of our Solace & Love bouquet, we will donate £5 directly to Solace Women’s Aid, a London-based charity working to help build safer lives and empower stronger futures for women and children at risk of, or who have experienced, violence or abuse.

Solace Women’s Aid does amazing and vital work, providing practical advice and ongoing support for those wanting to leave situations where they feel in danger. They offer therapy and a rape crisis service, as well as refuge and accommodation to hundreds of women and children across the capital. Their Children and Young People’s team works closely with families and young people in the community, helping them navigate the process of reporting abuse, if that’s the action they wish to take, and the legal steps that follow. Sadly, in the past year, rates of domestic abuse have increased during the pandemic, so charities like Solace Women’s Aid need our love and support more than ever.

Some terrifying statistics:

• 1 in 3 women will experience abuse in their lifetime.
• 85,000 women are raped in England and Wales every year.
• 1 in 10 of all recorded offences in London are domestic abuse related.

In 2019-2020, Solace Women’s Aid:

• Worked with over 27,000 women and children across their services.
• Took more than 200 calls each week to their free advice line.
• Ran 22 refuges with 178 rooms for women and children.
