STILL BLOOMING GREAT
Words by Jessica Peace
First on the dancefloor. Last one off.
There is a garden close to my flat that I use as a marker for plants that can withstand extreme neglect and a bloke with a petrol hedge trimmer. Osteospermum has been flowering there since March and is still going strong in a royal up yours fashion.

Easy Raver
THE DEETS
This ‘African Daisy’ likes a sun bathe on a fertile, well drained compost – great for the doorstep or window boxes. It’s half hardy – drag it inside or into a sheltered position over winter. Dead head regularly for repeat flower. Boom.
Look out for Osteospermum ‘Whirligig’, sounds like a 90s rave, its petals or ‘spoons’ finish in psychedelic discs.
