THINK WINTER VEG NOW

Is it depressing to read the word ‘winter’? Soz. But it’s NEVER sad to chat veg…

Basically, if you succeeded with your tatties, courgettes and beans you might want to have a stab at winter veg - but you gotta plan ahead.

Not got a veg patch? F’ IT. All you need is a big sack or stash of pots and some  peat-free compost (Peat = BAD).

WHAT CAN I GROW?!

Ooh the possibilities of our little sacks and patches of earth... You can sow swiss chard, spinach, lambs lettuce, rocket, pak choi, salad onion, coriander, aubergines, chillies, leeks, radish and most brassicas  - your sprouts, broccoli, cabbage gang.

Want new? Try growing and our new fave ‘kohl rabi’ - it’s purple and grows in a hot second.
