NO PLACE LIKE HOLM
With lockdown easing we are finally able to show our finger tips off without cringing in shame thanks to the incredible efforts by the team at House of Lady Muck - but HOLM gone one better than that - not only is the salon at Mare Street Market back open and taking care of all our nails and beauty needs, Laura (Lady Muck herself) has also been hard at work over Lockdown 3.0 putting together an incredible range of products for the the HOLM Lifestyle Store, which will open at Hackney Down Studios on April 17th!
Following on from the successes of the HOLM fragrance range of home and beauty products (which we know you all love as much as we do), the new store promises more of this goodness plus some lots of new treasures too, We caught up with the gorgeous Laura to find out a bit more about what to expect from the new HOLM Lifestyle Store.
Firstly, we're so excited for the lifestyle store to open! Tell us a bit about the concept behind it and what inspired you.
I wanted to create a destination for everyone to find a gift for themselves, or a loved one. A creative, fun space that showcases quality products from HOLM and from other makers.
The shop layout is minimal and easy to navigate. I wanted it to be laid back and a place to hang out too. It is important that it has that community feel. It is an extension of our much loved OG space House of Lady Muck Nails.
It goes without saying we are obsessed with the HOLM - your lifestyle products have been giving us life this past year, will there be more HOLM goodness to look forward to?
We have developed diffusers, incense and on the back of the success of our bath oil, we have a new scent in this launching too! Expect hints of eucalyptus, patchouli and sandalwood. We are super proud of all the new scents. Not only do they look good on your beauty shelf, they smell insane.
We've spotted some other gorgeous new products on your Instagram, can you tell us a bit more what you've got in store and what you're most excited about?
Yes, I have bought into other amazing brands to compliment the HOLM range. We have a collab with The Painted Flame, hand painted dinner candles that are exclusive to us which we hope you will love.
You are definitely one of our gurus when it comes to a bit of self-care. What are your top 3 tips for unwinding?
1) Bath in candle light, run a hot bath and light candles to relax before bed. The dim lighting and soothing HOLM bath oil will get you chilled out in no time.
2) Take time away from your phone - I have about an hour a night where I read or watch a show to escape my phone and work emails. It works a treat.
3) Laugh and talk to mates - it is so important to stay in touch and take time to laugh - especially at this challenging time.
I bet you're excited as us for getting back to normal London life - tell us what your perfect East London day would be (when we're allowed back out again!)
YESSSS!!!! It would be get my nails done at HOLM Nail Studio in Mare Street Market, followed by a Lychee Martini at El Garito at Hackney Downs Studios. Then pop to Brat for a boozey lunch, obvs.
