SUMMER CUTTINGS: GROW MINT IN YOUR DRINK

Words by Jessica Peace

One for you, one for me...

Pour a glass to make your plant baby and pour one for yourself because making cuttings root in water is EASY AS.

Take your cuttings from NEW GROWTH at the tips of your plant.

Make your cuttings around 10 cm.

Cut BELOW THE NODE  (the knobbly bit where the leaf pops out, you’ll know this if you’ve been following our other SUMMER CUTTINGS)

REMOVE LOWER LEAVES to about a third up.

PLONK in your glass.

You want about a third HANGING OUT, catching some rays and getting some fresh air.

LET IT BE for about a fortnight.

BUT don’t be scared to GET FRESH on the water.

When you see a healthy pack of roots SHOVE IN A POT.

BOOM. BOOM. PLANT BABY.
